As you all know my 11 month female lop cinabun ispregnant and due in january!! I picked her up this morning and sheseemed heavier than usual, is this because she is pregnant???? becauseI haven't overfed her or anything her diet is the same and has notchanged!!

OHHHHH ok, I started to worry that I was somehowoverfeeding her with her normal feed!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see howmany she has, and I have many people wanting a bunny so they willeach have a good home to goto!!

I have been givingMax as muchasshe will eat throughout the last few weeks incase she waspregnant, but she's gone off her food in the last couple ofdays. She never eats her full daily allowancethough,is it normal for them to go off food?

If I'm not mistaken, and I may be (breeders?), most peoplefree feed pregnant does, no?

We increase feed gradually after the litter is born. Freefeeding pregnant does can lead to dystocia and is believed to be acontributing factor in ketosis.

If the doe is pregnant with a large litter and her nutritional demandsare higher, I will slightly increase the feed. However, inmost cases with smaller breeds, it is not necessary.
