Fun New Toys

I wanted to share the new toy I made for Junie last night!

I connected three toilet paper tubes by cutting slits in the ends and sliding them together. On the top tubes I frayed the ends. The bottom one I just left as three connected tubes. I poked two holes in the middle of each set of tubes. I cut a strip of packing paper and scrunched it to make it as skinny as possible, then threaded it through the holes. I tied a knot on the bottom and tied another knot to the top of her NIC cage.

She looked a little scared at first and wouldn't touch it, but soon she was too curious and went to investigate. She started pulling on the bottom and watched it swing back and forth. It was easy to make and she seems to like it (now that she figured out it's not scary!).

That turned out really good. I'll have to try it. All my boys love toilet paper rolls.

It does take bunnies a while to get used to something. So glad Junie got over her fright of something new and is enjoying her new hanging toy.

Thanks Meredith for posting your creation. My husband just tried and Dobby is just having a ball with it. Willard is still trying to figure it out. Can't wait to see how Kreacher and Neville like it. My husband did add hay inside.

Neville is LOVING it!

Dobby and Willard had such a good time with this new toy that now they are sacked out. A good exhaustion after play.

What good exercise for them. Watching them stand, turn their heads, stretch their necks, and the reward of catching it, the hay and toilet paper roll.

Kreacher, he's my "oh really" bunny. lol He won't play with it in front of us, so I'm looking forward to what it looks like the next morning. lol.

You can also use them (as well as paper towel rolls) to cover wires and cables, so your bunny won't chew them! :wink
