Is it ok for bunnies to have fruit as a treat? Which are ok to give and how much for an eight week old lop? Thanks! :)

Hopefully my post in your veggie thread answered this question as well. Check the library for an approved fruit list: http://www.rabbitsonline.net/view_topic.php?id=12046&forum_id=17

Excess sugars can be hard on a bunny's digestion, so I would wait a few months to give fruit. And when you do begin to give it, just give very small pieces and monitor his poop to make sure he's digesting it well.

ah ok, didn't realize the list had fruit on it as well. :p and gradual like the plants. Got it! Thanks!

Dried fruit is also good - just try to find the stuff with no sugar added. My bun is extremely picky and won't touch fresh fruit, but he loooves dried papaya. I like it because I can buy a container of it and it lasts forever (since the bunnies only get very small pieces at a time).

I like the dried fruit idea. I was wondering how the heck would I keep it fresh it he can only have just a little bit? I will try both and see which he likes best. Thanks! :)
