Hi everyone,

Im sure something like this has been posted before but I was wondering, I live in upstate NY and we are getting a lovely artic weather snap here this week (nights are supposed to be -15F or so and days only in the single digits). My ELs are in an unheated enclosed porch. I cover their cages at night and makes sure they have thawed water at all times. Is there anything else that I should be doing for them? Thanks.

It was 17 degrees (F) this morning when I went out to the barn. Everyone was doing good, except I have a few that get mad when their water bowl freezes! LOL! They pick them up and throw them at me!

My only suggestion, beyond the extra hay, is make sure they get fresh water 2-3 times a day. Even if the water isn't frozen, make sure it's clean. Keep an eye on their ears. Make sure they stay clean and don't get anything frozen/stuck to them.
