It's been four years since i got type 1 diabetes. in some ways i can't believe i've manged so long, i mean when i got it, i thought i'd never make it a month. but here i am! i had typed a big e-mail to all my friends and family, but it's gone:tantrum:! i just wanted to post about it. it's a kinda big deal for me and my family. we always do something on this day or within a week(i'm trying to think of something really cheap to do w/a couple friends. got any ideas?). so basically, this is just.............................

i'm still here and healthy(100 years ago there was no insulin, which would mean i'd be waaay gone by now)! Sothanks for reading! now i'm gonna go get some dinner.....................:dude:

Anna

yeah, i edited it months after. why? no clue, no ones probably going to see it now, but i messed up some info, so......:D:p

I just love your attitude Anna! All the news I read is so positive for discovering a cure for Type I. I'm sure that it will happen in your lifetime. Keep up all the good work you do for the cause and never say never!

yup, i'm sure they'll find a cure too! they've cured it in lab rats a few times(one time was at UCF, my mom's old school, very cool:dude:. it was lettuce, how cool is that for us bunny people:cool:?), but human trials take some time to do. for a while i thought i'd be cured before i graduated high school, but it might be a little bit longer than that. i've got BIG plans for next years walk, and we're doing somementoring for newly diagnosed families, too. I like to get out there and do things. can't ever let it get me down..................

Anna I agree all the way with Slavetoabunny - your attitude is wonderful and such an inspiration. I think you doing some mentoring is such a fantastic idea - you could sure help a lot of people with your kindness and knowledge. I am rooting for you ALL the way! I hope you guys figure out something fun to do! I wish I had some good ideas for you right now, but I the bunnies have worn me out today - and broke me down. All I can think about is carrots and timothy right now. :p

Way to go Anna!! :highfive:

Anna, you're such an inspiration and it's hard for me to believe you're so young yet. You have an amazing attitude and it's something I can really take and learn from you. Thank you for being so positive.

I, too, believe they will find a cure in your lifetime. It's a long time coming. Continue to stay upbeat and positive and you'll make it. Keep fighting and keep your chin up. You're an amazing young woman and certainly an inspiration to all.
