So after having my new lion head doe for not quite 3 weeks now, I finally gave up and just gave her no choice but to let me hold her!! I didnt force her to stay sitting with me while she squirmed or anything, but as I was examining her.. I felt some larger lumps in her stomach that somewhat moved a bit!! Maybe I found out why she was so cheap when I bought her?! Anyways, I have had her for almost 3 weeks now, so I will be keeping a close eye on her behaviour from now on.

Maybe that's what was up with all her thumping. My doe was really moody when she was pregnant. Grunted at me, boxed at my hands, then she had her babies and was as sweet as can be. Have you put the nest box in there :) If you haven't already, it might be helpful to call whoever you got her from to find out when she was bred, and to which buck. Hope you have some cute little babies soon!

I will be sending her an email tonight for sure! I cant say for sure that she is pergnant, but I am assuming thats what I felt. I was thinking about breeding her, but I was wanting to wait for a whhile to decide... I guess that may have been made up for me.

Congratulations, I guess.

Thanks. But I'm not sure I really wanted her to have babies... Not yet anyways. I was told that she was 5.5 months old when I got her, making her just 6 months now. There isn't much I can do about it if he is in fact pregnant, but I am kinda hoping she isn't yet.
