Foraging Fraggles :)

OK so as part of Fraggles weight loss plan I have decided to start spreading her pellets into a pile of hay in her cage. I tried it this morning with amasing results. For over an hour there was digging,rooting,hay tossing and ever few seconds she would start chewing. I don't know if she enjoyed having to naturally forage for her pellets but it was entertaining to watch and hopefully it will help her be more active.

I do this with my buns, too. I did it originally to encourage Bighead eat more hay when he was adopted, but I'm not sure why I still do it other than for my own entertainment. =)

Good for you for finding a way for Fraggles to exercise while eating. Got to find different ways to get an inactive bunny active. Glad your idea was good for both of you. They say laughter is the best medicine, right?

Poor Fraggles! Now she's on a diet AND has to forage. When she's president, you're going to be in for it. haha

I saw on some cat show where they did that with cats that were destroying a house. I'm talking curtains, furniture, etc. Anyway, they hid pieces of food everywhere, and the cats spent the day looking for food and left the house alone.

Fraggles will become so adverse at hunting out her food, those tan terrosts wouldn't have a chance against her. I am sure Miss Muppet is enjoying not getting the beady eyed stare while she eats.

I do this with cookie a few times a week, I'll hide some oats or pellets in his hay... He goes crazy looking for it! Lol so cute

So the foraging has been going really well However.....After she is done with her forage she goes and stares at Muppet who still has pellets in her dish

Fraggles just loves her pellets! And Miss Muppet's too. You just have a bunny who knows what he likes. Miss Muppet better watch. Fraggles will figure a way to take her's too. It's just the way it is. Bunny life is so amazing.
