I found this website that has cheap hay and shipping for the hay, and I have 4 personal reconmendations that they hay is great.

A mini bale is 8.25 for 44oz..to put in comparison Oxbow hay you buy at a petstore is 15 oz for $5.49

They also have wheat, rye, and teff, which are harder to find hay.

I am ordering mine hopefully soon.

For 3 min bales (Orchard, oat, wheat) its 24.75+9.97 shipping.

Still way more than timothy, but still cheaper than other alternatives.

That sounds like a great deal. I may have to order some but mine have gotten so spoiled with kleenmama's. But it is so expensive.

ETA: are wheat, rye, and teff okay for rabbits? I have never heard of those.

If it makes you feel any better, Amy, I just did the math between Binky Bunny and Kleenmama. I currently order KM hay as well so I am always interested in costs! At least when I buy from KM 30lbs at a time, the cost per ounce is still lower. But then again it's bulk order vs 3 mini bales. For a non-bulk order, Binky Bunny isn't bad at all.

...I just ordered 30lbs of KM hay (480 oz.) and it cost $28, and $33.80 additional to ship. The cost is 13 cents per ounce.

Binky bunny for 3 mini bales of 44oz of ha is 132 oz at $24.75. Plus $9.97 shipping and it works out to 26 cents per ounce.

Oh wow Helen. Thanks for doing the math. That does make me feel a lot better. I love my kleenmama's hay or should I say the bunny's do.

That is a better deal, but I have no room for 90lbs of orchard, oat and wheat! lol! I already have huge bags of timothy taking over my apartment, lol.

Totally true. I wish I had the room to buy those $3 bales people talk about so I can afford variety! But I have to just stick to my staples. My 30lbs from km is 15lb Tim and 15lb bluegrass. Sometimes I'll treat them to a small bag of something else but it always costs a bunch. If only I had someplace to store a large amount of this stuff, I totally would buy more. :(

My guys live off the grass hay from the horses. There is always 30+ bales, plus, he sometimes gets the HUGE rolls that are like 800 lbs. I go through and pick the best stuff. Then I get alfalfa cubes from TSC. I keep Orchard Grass hay for treat but at $4 a tiny bag it is really expensive since the big bales of grass hay is only $3 a bale.
