George foot stomped in the lounge y.day and all was quiet i was talking to my dad he did it 3 times then sat looking like he was sulking,he did it again in his night time cage in the evening. .Could he be doing it for attention? believe you me there was no immediate bunny danger around lol !!

Thing is, your reaction is to go to them and look to see if there`s a problem but i`m sure he`d get wise to this and av me running backwards and forwards, don`t want to start a bad habit in him !!

I've had bunnies stomp for attention. It's *great* at 3 am. Grr. Now I'm a lot more careful about how I respond to it so I don't have any 'un-training' to do.

Rabbits "thump" when they perceive danger and they are warning others and they do it when they are not happy, usually something you did. Like putting them back into thier cage or changing their stuff around.

Dave, thats whats strange nothing was happening except my dad come round, been in the lounge for 10 mins and we were chatting do you think George was jealous or just saw something he was not sure about?

I believe rabbit's can stomp for attention, Dunkin has been known to do this. I can tell a clear difference between his danger or dislike stomps and "Mom, look at me now!" stomps.:D He also stomps if I'm giving the other fur-kids treats before him.

Bentley stomps at me when I put her back inside of her cage, then gives me a mean look, lol. She doesn't like going back into her cage. Sometimes she'll stomp her foot when I put her on the ground to playo, then I just stomp my foot back. Once we stomped our feet back and forth for like a minute, it was interesting lol.

He probably was mad that there were two humans in the room and neither of them were giving him the attention he thought he deserved. :)

My bunnies stomp sometimes, but only once. They'll be hopping along, and then WHAP! A really loud stomp. They'll do it for no reason, just as they're hopping along. I'm confused, but I usually try and pet them when they do. I'm glad my bunnies want to communicate with me.

You're gonna love this!

Snuffy does it all the time and not "Thumping" but "stomping", when he wants to, and I say "Booties!-to prevent that bone against plastic sound, haha." Silly bunner! I joke and say he needs booties cuz he stomps his feet all the time to move, haha. Not "stomping" per say, but pounding them feetsies, sheesh. "Booties!":p
