:) Hi guys, its been a while since Ive last posted, recently I got a new bunny we named her Trix ( will post pictures soon):bunnydance:, I was told she was a dwarf bunny but im not quite sure. She's been on Hagen pellets ( suitable for dwarfs) and lots of alfafa as she is still young, yesterday she stopped eating, drinking and pooping so we increased wet veggies and hay and removed the pellets, that has seemed to help she has now pooped although they are small and has peed. My question is what would be the best pellet for a dwarf? what do you guys use?? I think the one i am using is crap as it is also suited to hamster, gerbils and other small animals, i only got this kind because thats what she was eating when i got her, i already planned to change them, but bunnies also can be picky, the fiber content in this pellet is about 16.0%, there are also lots of additives that im not sure about, i feel bad because i would never use this food in the first place!! any advice? thanks guys!!:rose:

If she is not eating and the poops are small, you should take her to a vet for a check up.

I think I know of the food you are using and it really isn't great (as you probably know). I don't think the dwarf breeds need a specific food. Young rabbits can have alfalfa pellets and hay while adults should have timothy pellets and hay.
There are some good brands that are avaliable in Canada. There are some places that carry Oxbow products, but Martin also makes some decent pellets. Both brand have an alfalfa and timothy pellet. I have seen a Living World timothy pellet, but it is a 16% protein pellet and alfalfa is the second ingredient, so it is probably not the best, but still is better than some.

As the pellet you are feeding is probably a seed mix, you should pick out the pellets and just give them so she gets used to only having pellets. You can them mix them with a better pellet and eventually just have her on the new pellet.

Hi Luna21! Welcome back! :welcome2

If Trix is quite young (under 6 months old), I would continue to give her unlimitedAlfalfa hay, Alfalfa pellets, and any other types of hay. Has she had the wet vegs before, and is she use to it?

For the pellets, continue to give it to her. At the moment she should eat, and you could switch to a different brand later.

Make sure she drinks as this is more important than eating. Is she active?

Actually she is less active than usual, I'm sure its a GI issue, although she has pooed and had eaten almost all of her hay by this morning and drank some water, I think shes just a tad older than 6 months. If this continues into tomorrow we are going to the vet
