So a few monthes ago, I met an adorable little Holland Lop doe in Critter's Pet Store that was just the sweetest little thing, constantly trying to crawl on you and just a love bug. She reminded me so much of Babbitty that I found it tempting, but decided against it. We already have 10 rabbits, almost all of which are rescued, and I knew this little gal was in good hands (The owner of this store takes excellent care of her critters!)
A month later, we went to get some supplies and low and behold, little Miss Flynn was still there and still as affectionate as ever. I had to sternly remind myself that I rescue and this bunny was not in need of rescuing.
Well, a few days ago, my Mom announced my 19th birthday present... That little doe from the pet store. She was still there and no one had taken the little darling yet. So today, we took her home and dubbed her Flynn.
However, this will be a trial run with Flynn. I'm not totally convinced that I can handle another one (I work 6 days a week as it is to support the ones I have!) and we're just going to see how it works out. So we're just going to see how good her personality is at home, see how well she clicks with the family (And possible bondmate Star, who seems to always like company but has no one else seems to like...) and just see how it goes from there... The cost of a spay around here is a little intimidating as well around her (over $300). However, I could not resist a thread on this little gal!
I just want to make sure I make the right choice here, and if the right choice is to send her back to the breeder, then I know she'll be in a good, responsible home either way. So we'll see how the trial run goes.
