flu bug

does any one else have the nasty flu bug that has been going around? I've been sick for a week, my hubby had it before me, all the guys at his work have had it, our tax guy is still getting over it.. all around fun fun fun... NOT! actually missed 2 days of work last week because of it. I don't think I've been this sick in years.

any rate yes just wondered if anyone else is suffereing with this horrid thing, I hope not it sucks..

We had one of the flus going around. Ours was the one (there are like 3 of them) that it felt like your lungs were filling up with sand and water the first couple of days. Then you wanted to sleep for hours on end. And then the lovely sinus congestion came along with the cough......

I still have a touch of the cough.

*fingers crossed* we have not had it yet. I've got a stomach bug right now that just started. It's never any fun - I'm sorry you feel so bad. Yuck. I had a flu last winter that caused severe pain in my legs and joints, not just the normal aches... I thought something awful was happening to me, finally we went to the ER, and they said yep, a new strain was going around. So they gave me meds to knock myself out with lol. Boy it was the worst I've ever had.

I had the stomach one so bad before this last one that I ended up in the ER getting fluids.

I's been shot this year The flu shot did make me really sick so if that counts then yeah... Lol, but I'm sure it doesn't.I got bronchitis and sinusitis but no flu flu...So stay away peoples Seriously, my sympathies to everyone dealing with it. Flus suck. :?

ugh for the last three weeks someone has been sick here. First started out with my three year old, for two weeks had something he couldnt shake. Then the baby, and then my oldest. Now the biggest baby, my husband , has been crying and whining about how bad he feels. And now the kids all have this horrible , gaging cough, which is making them sometimes throw up , ugghhh, I cant wait to get it,lol, hopefully i will be spared since i have to endure all of them being big sick babies,lol

My husband has it now and so do a bunch of people that we know. It sounds like the one I had in December, I hope it is so I can't get it:X.

guess it really is making the rounds. lots of mucus and touchy throat, and so tired could sleep for days, hot and cold, wake up middle the night soaking wet in sweat..nose totally stuffed up and just round all about fun. bit more energy today i lasted the entire day at work today.. have half day tomorrow then get to rest...

I hope all those suffering, get well soon.

Yeha It really sucks, he has to take some days off work because he works as a Car Rep. For a big car dealership and hes around people all the time so he has no choice but to take time off work.

I came home early from school today, took a nap at around 5, then when I woke up I felt so much worse! I keep falling over im so dizzy, and I am ssoo hot!

Yep, had a short bout of flu before Christmas. One minute I was sitting in the living room feeling fine, the next minute I was racing for the bathroom, only to lose my breakfast, lunch and dinner (which totally confused The Dog, I'm sure...she must've been wondering why on earth I was returning perfectly good food ).

And for the past two weeks I've been dealing with a cold; first one I've had in 5 or 6 years. It's finally calmed down, but now I have a sore spot on one side of my throat (which always makes me nervous, given my med. history) and still have some congestion.

There's been a lot of people out sick with colds and flu around here this year...but then again, I think it's pretty much like that every year in this area. :?

What is regional here is, a headache and can't clear your thoat feeling, then baamo!:shock: You "feel like a semi hit you" is what my hubby said. Have a coat and some shirts on, others have said that and some blankets and still freazing and shaking from the fever. They are mega layered, but burning up. (Sounds like what I had in December)

Don't want it. Feel better everyone!


The news is alerting people getting the flu, to know that it can resist your immune system, but, might likely, take it over, leaving you with Pnemonia.

my nephew and my 16 year old has had it since friday... now my 11 year old and 6 year old neice are coming down with it.... 16 year old is so bad that she has to go to the doctor.. she can't hold anything down...

That must have been what I had last Thursday/Friday. I went home early on Thursday and had to call in on Friday. I really hate wasting a perfectly good sick day actually being sick! The upside was I had lots of time to work on zootoo for Midwest.

yeah i've heard the basic 2 going around are the chest and sinus, or the puking everything..

fortunally the last time i had the puking flu was 11 years ago knock on wood i don't get it again. it was a week of holding nothing down and pretty much sleeping on the batroom floor, because once you gt comfortable if you moved you felt like puking.

I feel for anyone who has that, i'll take the long sinus chest flu any day over the puking one.

get beter soon everyone who's ill, and hopefully those who have avoided it thus far, can continue to avoid it.

I can only imagine you dog must have been very confused, I mean wasting all that good food
