So I see a lot of "Bunny treats" consisting of dried flowers, hay, ect ect popping up, but they seem really expensive..at $4-6 for 2-3 OUNCES.

Does anyone make their own, or know how?

or how to order maybe in bulk or sepeate (Like how to get dried roses, ect ect?)

Here are some examples:

I ordered a bag of willow leaves from Bunspace because it was on sale and I'm a compulsive impulse buyer. :nonono: It ended up costing $7.50 or more for a loosely packed lunch-bag full. I gave everybunny a couple of leaves -- they LOVED them -- put the paper bag on the kitchen table, went down stairs to put a load of laundry in, came back upstairs and Mikey had gotten up there and polished off the works. :sigh:

ETA: I had planned on buying a dehydrator, found a really fast one for about $160 -- dried stuff in four to six hours instead of two days. Figured I could go into business or at least try and do some forum fundraising while providing a very healthy diet supplement to rabbits. But then I remembered I have a brown thumb after starting off with a solitary little fennel plant that I killed within a week. Re-thought that idea.

Thanks Autumn!

They also have Marigolds and Chamolie which I think are bunny safe..I will look though!

Awesome..

So, all of these are 1 pound EACH.

For Dandilion, Eucalyptous, Lavender, Rose petals, Rosemary, and thyme is about $58..shipping is $15...

For 1/2 pound each, its $29 plus 10.25 shipping.

It is too expensive to order now; but thanks for the link. Great to look into for buying!

Not if you add it all up.

Its 1lb or 1/2lb OF EACH of the herbs..so it adds up.

For $73 including shipping I get 6lbs of dried herbs

For $39 I get 3 lbs of dried herbs

Hehe well I am trying to start a garden myself; the problem is the 105 degree weather makes it hard for outdoor growing,

But I don't have a large windowsill to grow plants, but I am going to give it a try!

I went to my local health food store a few weeks ago and bought a bag each of marigold, lavender, clover and raspberry leaves...for a whole $4 in total! Now I am lucky that I have such a great store with so many choice that they sell in bulk but its worth looking around because $58 seems like a lot.

I just sprinkle a few pinches on top of Sabrina's hay each morning and she is happy as a clam :)

Hey Sabrina, how much did it weigh? And what was the store? Hopefully it was a chain and I can get some here. :) (Although still pretty steep I'm sure with the nine rabbits here, but depends on the size).

sas :)

I grow and dry my own mints (chocolate, apple, orange and peppermint currently), basils (usually 6 different kinds), and various other herbs (marigolds, pineapple sage, lemon balm, oregano, anise hyssop, and whatever survives the summer heat) and dry them inside.
Very easy: pick, bundle, hang upside down, and let dry for a week or so.

Hey Sas, unfortunately it was an independent store that we have here in Hamilton....

The flowers are sold in bulk so I can't remember how much each one weighed but I filled them all to the top.
