Flemish giant question

OK so what do yall Flemish giant owners do when you need to do nails and clean out the anal glands? Harper is way too hard to pick up and she has figured out that she doesn't like to be off the ground. Also when I decided to bond my 3 how can I get her downstairs to neutral territory if I can't really pick her up safely? Any suggestions?

With my big boy I sit on the floor and put his back to my stomach. I hold his upper body and hubby hold his feet and takes a quick swipe at the anal sacks. For nails I let him stand on the dryer which is their normal grooming spot and just pick up one foot at a time. He'll bite the crap out of me if I try it any other way. When we do anal glads I wear a thick shirt and a blanket cause he'll try to bite my shoulders if we take to long. He doesnt like to be held down or manipulated to much. They all get put up on the dryer every night and I brush them, check ears, do nails if needed, or give medications. It's the one place they dont fight me because it's a normal routine for them.

You could maybe put her in a carrier and take her down stairs?

You could try training her to go into a carrier and then carry her downstairs that way. A few pellets placed in the carrier may entice her to enter if she is not used to it. If she has fr4ee run time you could leave the carrier sitting around when she is out to also help her get used to it.

I didn't even think of using the carrier. That'll work. I leave the carrier in her cage as a hiding spot so she's always in it. I'll try doing nails on a table or something but what if she jumps of and hurts herself?

Also can a light grey Flemish giant turn black? Harper's face is getting blacker.
