It looks like I may be about to become the foster owner of 5 5 week old kits (one of whom is struggling greatly). Mum abandoned them after popping another 11 kits out (she was dumped at a rescue, poor bunny, with her first set of kits).

When I took on Autumn he was about 4-5 weeks old (if that) and I never gave him any milk, just pellets and loads and loads of hay.

These kits have been used to goats milk as a supplement, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to do with them? Should I just go with pellets and hay, or should I do something different?

Please don't be judgemental if you disagree with whatever has been done so far. The situation is incredibly complex and complicated and absolutely the very best has been done for these babies, that could have been done.

Brilliant, thanks for that link Peg. Sorry, should have checked the recent posts before posting.

I was glad you posted....I've been thinking about you lately. So it was very nice to hear from you - even if it is this situation.

Things should be ok, I have a litter that is just about 3 weeks old and they have started to eat pellets and hay.

These kits could not have landed in better hands.

I am with Peg, nice to here from you again.
