What a great day! Kitty ended up getting a 3rd in her meat pen class. Not bad for the first time out, and 73 meat pen entries shown.

Polish, the only two there. Nestle won BoB and then Karmin BoS
Maxine won her class and took BoS
Boo won her junior class, beating out Frostie and Roo (and a few others)
Grump won his, but was the only one in it. lol
Sonny got 2nd, out of around 4. He's heading down the highway when I'm back for good from the fair.

Cals:
These classes were all huge!! The biggest class of the day.
Agent Gibbs got a 2nd in junior bucks
Abby won her class and took BoB
Ziva placed around 6th (can't believe Paul didn't knock her out since she's missing all but a stub of a tail. LOL)
Twila, Trisha, and Ruby...I can't remember what they got (if anything)

Kitty got a 2nd in her first showmanship class. There were 14 in it, and she was the only first-time shower there.

Kitty also got *drum roll please* Reserve Best In Show with Abby!!!!!! Her first home-bred baby, ever, who is just now 4 months old!! She won herself a really big 2-hole carrier...and, of course, the big light purple Reserve banner.

VERY proud of her!! She not only showed all of the French Lops, and all of her Californians, but also another person's Mini Satins.

Well, time to head back to the fairgrounds (only come home long enough to shower, feed the horses and rabbits left behind). Another early day tomorrow for the open show. I'll be running rabbits all day (for whatever reason, the open rabbits are ran back and forth to the judging table by 4 people, not by the owners...and I got "volunteered" for that). Kitty's showing the horses in halter (going to miss it, but they're speed horses not halter/pleasure so no biggee). Then rabbits are done, and she runs the gaming horses tomorrow night...then horses are done, too. Then it's just selling the rabbits at the sale on Friday, and home on Saturday.

WOW! 3rd out of 73? Congratulations!!! The RIS was in the breeding rabbit category? That sounds like it's a big show! I hope you do well, $ wise, with your meat pen. Good job with showmanship, too! Oh, good luck with the horses.
