Okay so today was the first day back at school after 6 weeks! I didn't really mind going back becuase I got to see all my friends and I like getting new books and stuff! At my school we have this book called a planner where you record your merits and any homework and it has like the code of conduct and rules and ways to help you study and everything! It's a really good idea - I really enjoy filling it in!

Though I have the same maths teacher who I had in year 7 (im in year 9 now) and she was rubbish and really mean. Now I am absolutly c**p at maths so this does not help me at all :grumpy:

Plus it has rained practically all day from when I went to catch the bus all through break and lunch until I got off the bus tonight.
So before I even got to school my hair was ruined. Now I'm not one to really worry about my apperance especially going to school but I like making a good first impression on any new people - well boys and all my new teachers and you can't if you look like a drowned rat :foreheadsmack:

So that was my first day back at school! How was everyone else's?

we started school almost 4 weeks ago(i home school). we're already behind and mom's talking about doing school on saturdays to catch up. the only thing i'm not behind in is german. i'm going nuts today:scared::panic:. it probably doesn't help that my blood sugar is 300(ie 200 points too high) so i feel even worse

I'll start Matthew, 4th grade, with homeschooling on the 8th. Our fair is this week, so it's easier to wait until all the fair excitement is over. Matthew won Reserve in Show at our fair show with his Belgian Hare!

I started English (on-line)and anatomy/physiology classes a week ago. I really enjoy the anatomy labs, but lectures are rather boring.

University started for me today. I had 3rd year Soil Sciences with one of my fav. profs (who told me to apply for a lab position after class) and had Biogeography with another fav. prof.

Pretty good day, but I'm going 12:30-6:30, straight through (2 10 minute breaks) every Thursday. Really hard not to go get a snack from the vending machine, so I'm going to have to pack healthy :p snacks...

Hope I get a good mark on my Chem test next week!

I started school last wednesday. It is going good so far. I am in the 11th grade this year. My pathways advisor told my class that this year is either going to be really hard or really easy. Besides all the homework I have got so far, I think it will be pretty easy. i hope it will too.

Well, good luck to those who have/will be starting school!

I can't wait to start my schooling. I am going to be taking the online diploma course in Dog Training from Penn Foster Online. I may even take Dog Grooming. I will have tons of opportunities and time once Ryan gets into the Navy (hopefully soon!).

I need to go take the Math/Writing portion of my GED still. I, uhhh...keep putting it off. I aced the first portion, but just forgot about this one. I need to do it soon, as it has almost been a year since I took the other half.

Wednesday was my first day of Y13.... I'm old now!

It was OK, I'm aiming to be alot better this year to try and make it better than my AS's. Thet little Y7's are ADORABLE. I went to the top playground yesterday morning to collect a few and take them to lesson, while I was waiting a little girl burst into tears and asked me how to get to the drama department because she was lost! It was so cute. I also spent all of my free 2nd period helping them all get to their first lessons, they were all over the place!

My timetable is also amazing. No school on Tuesdays, Lie-ins on Thursday mornings, home Monday and Thursday before lunch, not bad!

Also my teacher plucked me out in my lesson when talking about the grades people got. She said 'Fran didn't do any of her coursework, and got an E, but got 2 B's in the exam and averaged a C... this is proof that all of you can do it' (because I'm the stupidest!)

I don't start school till the 9th.:raspberry:

I am looking forward to going back but I'm not looking forward to all the work (last year of school ever - eek!!) Plus I'm quite nervous thatthey'll have given me the rubbish teachers for my subjects, as that's what it said it said in the column blocks they gave me when I got my AS results.:?Needless to sayI went to my head of 6th form and kicked off about it!:pI'm always one to speak my mind.;)

Though I'm a bit worried becuase this year I have to pick my options and I don't know what I want to be when I grow up so I don't know what to pick! There are no lessons to do with animals apart from Science and i have just been moved down becuase I stink at it!

I definatley think picking subjects at 13 is really difficult. I know I had no idea what to do! Do you have four options or three? Do you have to do a language? I would do a langauge (I took Spanish, languages weren't compulsory). I'd take one 'fun' subject, something you really enjoy like art, dance, drama etc. Then if you have two other options I'd probably take something more academic but still enjoyable. My options were Spanish, Product Design, Drama and Geography. Take things you are good at, and that you enjoy! Start thinking about what you want to do but as long as you pick a good grouding of various subjects and do well in them it shouldn't hold you back. I had no idea what I wanted to do really, but at GCSE I discovered what I enjoyed!
