I got a job. I was beginning to think I was going to have go the retail route for awhile. It is exactly the same position had before but with a different non-profit. Thank you God and all the saints!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!:great: YEAH!!!! Nothin' like a steady paycheck!

(Have you noticed how addictive a regular income is?)

Best of Luck in the new job! :pinkbouce:

Thanks. I've out of work for a month and half. I was starting to sweat bullets as to how I was going to pay next month's mortgage and the ongoing bills. A big load off my mind.

The pay won't be the same as the last employer but at least they are willing to work that out.

Congratulations!

With the gas prices and all the other stuff going up from those and the floods here..... I think I'm going to be looking for some more work. *sigh*

It's so bad right now. Everyone is having such a hard time. Grain/feed has gone so high and now with the floods in the farmlands, it's going to be worse.

We've decided that we won't be taking any extra trips into town now. When I take Lexi to volleyball - I will go to the grocery/pharmacy and things like that.... unless it's a dire emergency - we're not driving.

I've taken my truck off the road. Richie says we're going to try and sell it. (Yeah, who's gonna buy that! It's HUGE!) I try to plan out all the trips to be more conservative and get more done. Daughter's walking to school now instead of driving her. (But that's almost done.) Also hanging laundry on the line to dry instead of using the drier. Bought a "Food Saver" (like a seal-a-meal, sucks all the air out to keep food from spoiling). It's crunch time around here.

Feel so bad for the Mid-West and the flooding and tornados! Hugs to all of you dealing with that!

I'm also looking for something part-time myself. I did have a part-time job scoring tests for grades K-12 for a company that has contracts with certain states. That won't start again until the Fall.I might just hold out until then.

Congrats on the job! and not to get off topic but I just had to agree here. We live out in the bush and only got to town a couple times a month, and usually go to the city to stock up on supplies once a month... now it looks like we might go out in total once a month. Everything has gone up so much. Grain/feed and our food has gone up so much I don't know how us regular people are going to be able survive if it gets any worse honestly.
