Me and hubby are going to be getting married at the courthouse Thursday.

Most people think where married cause we say we are Texas is a common law state and for two years we have been common law.

But He finally asked me and we are going for it. We are not having a big wedding because we want to go on a cruise in the summer if I can find someone to watch the twins. So we are saving everything my Adopted Mom and real dad are putting in for the cruise.

Everyone thinks we will enjoy the cruise more. I know I am not a all about me person.

The only thing is our rings wont be in on time kinda bummed. But there really nice.

This is his ring It will say the same thing. Love Means Forever

We also love the black rings I could not find anything else i like.

What we mean by this is we talked to couple that had been together for 40 plus years and asked them how they made it.

a lot told us just cause you dont like someone. Does not mean you wont in a year or two. One guy told us he slept in a spare room for over three years. Before they got back together. But they never gave up they said that we fell in love for a reason and you just have to find that again.

Its a matter of not giving up. We asked them are you happy now they said not every day but are you happy ever day. So we are making in forever.

I may not be a huge religious person but I do know people make it and we are going to. Come hell or high water.

CONGRATS to the both of you!!

I'm so excited for y'all and I love the rings.

Art & I have been married over 30 years (he was the first guy I ever kissed even...)...and I will take a second to share some not-asked for advice.

We've found that our marriage has "cycles" of good and bad times. As the years have gone by - we have found that the good cycles get longer and the bad cycles are shorter and it is easier to make it through the bad cycles because we know a good cycle will come around again.

So in those bad times - I try to focus on the good times and remind myself that they're worth waiting for again.

Congratulations again!

I will hit you on facebook

BTW-I am gonna give you my best piece of marital advice I got..

"When ya'll fight...I don't wanna know about it..because after you forgive him and your over it, I won't be."

My mom told me that...but I find it applies with your friends as well.. it basically breaks down to keep your married drama to yourself, cause your friends and family tend to take up for you, and I have had friends tell my significant other "Dude, why were you such a jerk.."

Which then went into an even bigger fight about me blabbin our bidness..

You always need somebody to talk to.. true.. just don't tell everybody..

I should have heeded that advice...lol
