Figure 8 around legs & very defined sniffing

Peaches started this tonite - my daughter crossed her play area and our girl started doing figure 8s around her legs and sniffing her up and down. I said that she must like her very much.

I was sitting on the floor reading and she was sniffing my arms agressively (or whatever she was doing) and hopped on my lap (she does this sometimes but never this often). No noise or grunts that I heard but funny thing is - she wasn't doing the same thing to my 10 year old son's legs? (could she sense that he was not mature enough?)

I read that maybe this is boy behaviour and not something a female would do - she's about 14 weeks (by our calculations). Can Peaches be a he? or is this "normal" for a female?

Hard to say because some girls do this and some boys do this, and it means the bun is courting you. It means Peaches likes her humans

Females can also display these hormonal behaviors. It sounds like she loves you guys!

:yeahthat: And unfortunately some less fun hormonal female behaviors may be next to develop, like cage aggression, territorial behavior, marking with pee and poop. Time to look into a spay! At 14 weeks she's just starting to reach maturity, so you might have to put up with it for a month or more.
