So, from what I know, my bunnies were fed primarily pellets in the shelter, and who knows what before that.

I'd guess them to be around 7 pounds each.

Right now I'm feeding about a half cup of pellets am/pm. They are finishing their pellets.

They also have unlimited access to hay, but so far I haven't seen them touch it.

Last night I gave them a strawberry as a treat to try to soothe them in their new home. They loved that.

Today they got two big leaves of romaine lettuce and a small handful of cilantro. They loved the cilantro, but also ate the lettuce.

They always have fresh water. And they have an apple stick and grass mat to chew on.

Thanks for your help :)

Are you feeding them a half of a cup in the morning and then another half in the afternoon?
That sound like a pretty good schedule just make sure you go easy on the treats!

Probably just shy of a half cup twice a day.

I'm a little confused about the treats. I understand that fruits are considered treats because of the sugar content. But what about veggies? How much should they get?

Thanks :)

Ok i was confused about the pellets thanks for clarification

Really what you are doing now is fine the green veggies like romaine lettuce is not all the way a treat but you give them too much
This is about what they should be getting each day (its basically what you are doing anyway) but here it is
- Unlimited hay
- About 1/2 to 1 cup of pellets
- About a cup of green ex- 1 big leaf of romain and 2 or 3 baby carrots
- 1 treat ( any kind of fruit)

P.S this is for one individual bunny so you would double for two

good luck:biggrin:
