Feeding Baby Mini Rex and ELops

Ok.

I have been reading SO much on the internet and emailed some breeders..so Im waiting on responses. So I will post here.

For new babies, when they start nibbling on the feed..Should I have a different TYPE of feed than that I feed all my rabbits?

Also, do I need to feed them the alfalfa for a certain time? Would it be OK for the mom to eat it too since she will be with them?

Is the species actually called an Elop? When i google them i hardly find anything on them?
