I was thinking about this the other day. I love movies, but because I don't have cable (or basic cable), I never see previews for movies. I only get them through Netflix and never go to the theatre. Also, with Netflix, you kind of need to know which movie you are looking for. I forget titles easily and such, so yeah. I don't like being out of the loop. So, here is a thread for people to share their most recently-viewed movies (or just mention favorites!) and tell us about it. Give it a rating, too! 1-5 stars will work. We will put 5 stars as the best. Let's go to the movies!

We just watched Bruce Campbell's "The Man With the Screaming Brain" last night. It's a quirky little item about a man who dies and has his brain "fuzed" with another man's (a Bulgarian taxi driver, to be exact).

I would give it 4 stars (it's my kind of movie!)

Doesn't your regular channels get movie previews??

Um my fav movies hmm, Def love The Virgin Suicides, TWILIGHT!!!:p, Seven, The Italian Job and the Indian Jones series, more so the older ones than the latest one.

I don't even get basic TV. We've tried setting up the "bunny ear" antennae, but our apartment is built like a lead brick and you can't get a good signal in. It just looks like snow/static.

If your tv is newer, you may get a bit better reception after the digital switch-over. If the tv is older, and can't handle digital, you won't get any channels at all with the rabbit ears. :( I think the gov. is out of the coupons towards the digital boxes, but you can get on the waiting list. A bunch of the coupons that are out now are going to expire soon, so those coupons will be sent out to people who are waiting.

I love Netflix!!!

I like to browse the lists that show what's popular (you can even check just your area), and it can be handy to check through the New Releases section, as well. I also like the ratings system they have. If you're good about rating the movies you have already watched (even ones you didn't get through Netflix), you can get some pretty good suggestions on what else you might like, based on what you already liked. Also, check out the Previews tab at the top. You can sort it based on what Netflix thinks you might like, or by genre.

I also tend to forget movies that I want to see, because I don't go to the theater. So as soon as I hear about something that's currently out that I might be interested in, I put it on my "saved" list. Then it's automatically moved up to the queue when it is released. No need to remember!

I tend to watch a lot of drama/independent/foreign/documentaries. I'm not really into slapstick comedy, unless it's also pretty quirky, or romace/chick flick sort of things. I also don't care for musicals.
I recently enjoyed The Namesake; The Notorious Betty Page; The Hoax; Be Kind Rewind; Charlie Wilson's War; Dan in Real Life; Lars and the Real Girl; American Gangster; La Vie en Rose; Talk to Me; Sweet Land.

Jason like anything with "thumb" in the title, such as Thumb Wars, Bat Thumb, The Blair Thumb, etc. He also enjoys Bubba Ho-Tep (also Bruce Campbell!). Mostly, though he gets UFC things from Netflix.
We are both big fans of Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, and King of Kong.
