Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with this issue or has any advice?
My bunny 'Pickle' was keeping his eye shut two days ago, but with no wetness or goop/sign of infection. I tried gently wiping it with warm water throughout the day which by the end of the day seemed to completely heal it. His eye was completely open and clear so I thought maybe he had something in it that was flushed out. Then again today his eye seems swollen and he is keeping shut on and off and there is a very small amount of goop in the corner. I got a closer look and his eye looks more pink than the other and slightly cloudy. Cost of seeing a vet in my area is about $100 for assessment, with any treatment on top of that so if I can clear it up at home that would be ideal. He is still super energetic, eating and drinking fine. Any tips or advice?? (If he gets any worse I will be taking him to the vet)
Thanks

Here is a photo of his eye the first day he was holding it closed, and the evening it opened up.

It's almost impossible to know what it is, he could have gotten some sort of irritant in it, it may be the beginnings of an infection, or it's possible he scratched the eye. The other possibility is teeth issues. What colour was the discharge? White indicates infection but clear can just be from a scratch or irritation.
