I was playing my Final Fantasy XIII game last night around 11. I attempted to turn it off at midnight but I often forget that after I select system shut off, I have to select "yes" to confirm. Until I hit yes, the console remains powered on.
I have the original PS3, big clunky, HOT burning box of metal. I closed the entertainment unit thinking nothing of it... This morning I woke up at 6am just to check on Toby since I let my tiny bun out to roam the apt at night. I heard the unmistakeable whirring noise all the way in my bedroom. I left the thing running for 6 hrs....
I turned it off immediately but then feared the thing would never turn back on once it had a chance to cool off (sometimes with electronics while it is still going downhill, it still works. Give it a chance to fry and cool, though, and it's forever busted...) I have a Final fantasy save file I spent 90 hours on.... I tossed and turned. Finally had to get up and get my flash drive and back up my save file. Thankfully, my PS3 still turns on but the fan was still whirring at top speed. Now I can't fall back asleep. LOL
anyone else ever lose sleep over something as insignificant? Or am I just a loser?
