Just thought I would share a funny story that happened last night to me.

I had just started to fall asleep and Nesta was nestled in her C&C cage. She decided that she did NOT like being in there that night. Nesta, being the genius that she is, decided to jump from the second floor of her pen to the partially enclosed top of the pen. There are 2 grid spaces open so I can get in and clean. She jumped from the top of the pen to my bed and proceeded to run around my room like a crazy bunny for a bit then settled down. I put her back into the cage and 2-3 hours later she did it again.


There has got to be something she's trying to tell me! Lets just say that the cage top is fully covered tonight! :bunny17:

lol i experienced this too... i find with the c&c cages the top is always the weakest part, the way i did mine was i made a door at the front, and made one peice that was half zip tied that covered completely but it flipped open for feeding and cleaning (i just sweep out the cage) and i put a removable 1 inch dowel across so the lid has something to rest on but i can remove it if i need to clean or get around, heres a pic where you can kinda see what i'm talking about:

LOL the same thing happened to me yesterday. There was a slightly open spot in the corner of the NIC cubes, and he squeezed right through them (apparently while I was eating dinner). Sneaky little buns we have.

I have learned recently that my guys can clear 3 feet from a standing jump if motivated... gotta bunny-proof those roofs!

Well I just caught my 9 week old bunny climbing the X-Pen! his back feet were about 4 inches off the floor and he'd latched onto the grid and if I hadn't started laughing, he might have gotten higher. MonkeyBunny!
