Wow, it's been a while since I've been on here. Luckily, I've had nothing but good news with Naboo since his last little health scare (having his teeth trimmed down), but he does go back to the vet in about a week. Things have been pretty crazy on my end, with school and roommates, so I'm not sure how often I'll update this.
Anyway, recent events have caused me to determine that the roommates are pretty much the worst people I have ever known, and as a result, Naboo and I are going to move. One of my roommates, Tiffany, has an unneutered 3 year old Husky that not only has tried to kill Naboo on two occasions, he also has a big problem with diarrhea, which I think is caused by some sort of parasite. Tiffany refuses to take the dog to the vet because she claims that there is nothing wrong with him, and that she doesn't have the money to take him to the vet, so as a result, his diarrhea has been ongoing and our carpet in our living room is disgusting looking. I refuse to walk around this house barefoot until she steam cleans the hell out of our floor.
See, this situation came about because I'm a college student and I rent a house. Now, when I'm talking about a house, I'm talking about a 3 year old house that is 1600 square feet and is in really nice shape. When I got Naboo, I had no problem letting him run around the living room and my bedroom daily, because the dog liked to spend most of his time in Tiffany's room or outside. I NEVER would let Naboo run while the dog is indoors, simply because he is a 55 pound husky, and Naboo is a 4 pound bunny. That's just bad news right there. This dog has taken over the house, and has torn it up. There's paint off of the walls, carpet torn up, stained, and generally disgusting, and the blinds and curtains have been ripped/broken. I will no longer let Naboo run around our living room, because if the dog truly does have a parasite, I don't want any chance of it being transmitted to Naboo. My vet bills are already high enough with his tooth problem, and I really don't want to have to treat him for some sort of parasite as well.
It's getting to the point where I feel my bedroom isn't big enough to let him run, so I take him home every weekend now, where he can have free run of my parents' house. My parents adore Naboo, they always enjoy having him home, and he loves to run around their house or sit on my mom's lap, so it's really a win/win situation for him. I'm spending most of the summer at mom's house, just so that Naboo can have all the room he wants to stretch, binky, and flop right off of the couch. Yes, he did a flop, right off of the couch the other night. I had to admit it was hilarious after he sat up and just looked at me like "Why'd you let me fall?", then ran off. Poor little guy doesn't have very good depth perception, I think, because he falls off of my bed a lot too.
Anyway, so, Naboo and I are moving to a smaller house in the same subdivision where I'm living. This house is about 1000 square feet, but it's going to have no dogs, cats, or anything else, and he'll be able to have pretty much free roam there, so I think it'll be a lot better for him. My roommates, I've discovered, signed a lease for a different, smaller house, without telling me. This time, they're going to stick that Husky in a smaller house with another dog, so they'll have fun with that. My decision to move was purely in Naboo's best interest, though, even though my roommates have decided to be unusually cruel and harsh to me in the past week because I found out about their move. Oh well, karma's a bitch and it will catch up to them. Naboo and I will just have to live with being happier and safer now
Also...I've discovered that Naboo really loves being on my desk, because whenever I start to do any work at it, he will sit there and honk at me until I pick him up and put him on my desk. Then, he promptly lays down and puts his head under my hand because he wants to be petted. That, or he goes and tries to eat my post-it notes.
No, Naboo doesn't have a head tilt, it's as straight as ever right now. I think he was in the middle of shaking his head when I took this, though.
How dare you try and make a phone call when you could be petting me!
Hmmph, that's better.
No post-its? You make bunny sad.
