Elliot is a Netherlands Dwarf, 1.5-2 years, diet is oxbow pellets, timothy hay, mixed greens, romaine, a small amount of fruit in the a.m.{like one or two blueberries, maybe a piece of apple or papaya, couple slices of banana}, occasionally a small baby carrot.
Fresh spring water.
He was neutered yesterday. They gave me three syringes of Metacam, he had one yesterday in the afternoon, and one this morning. I couldn't get him to eat the Baytril mushed up in banana, so I made it up in a slurry of applesauce, small amount of water, and he fussed but I got most of it in him.
He really is not eating much. A few strands of timothy hay, maybe a blueberry or two this a.m.
I can tell he did urinate a couple times, and after he ate a few strands of hay he eliminated what I would equate to a small puppy poop. A strand, not a round poop. I lifted him to look and his scrotum is pink and swollen. Not red.
I assume he doesn't feel good. I have put a call in to the vet who performed the surgery, and she has not called back yet. I do not think they are always there, as this is a vet clinic. Can you give some advice please, I am very concerned.
