I treated my 4 year old Himmie for what I believed was EC about 3 years back. I gave her the usual Panacur and then my vet suggested Pen-G shots. She still shows signs of the disease (falling over when in strange positions like washing her back) but compensates very well otherwise. She is a very active bunny and runs very quickly.
Recently I have noticed her falling more than she previously did. I am concerned that maybe the EC is returning (although I know it never leaves) and wonder if that is possible. I would put her back on Panacur if the vet suggests it.

I know it's possible for the side-effects of EC to linger (like head tilt), but if they've worsened recently then it's definitely worth checking in with a vet to see if it has returned.

Yes, EC doesn't really go away. Stress usually is what activates it. I'd check with your vet about putting her on another round of the med. Not sure why the Pen G, but maybe he suspected something else, too. You could ask him to do a blood titer and then repeat in 2 weeks. This would show if she has an active infection or not.

Some people who have rabbitries treat with panacur twice a year so it wouldn't hurt to treat her with it.
