Hey everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone knows: when is it the right time to allow your bunny to eat grass?
My bunny is just over 2 months old and I try and give him some outside/grass play time a few times a week. He loves eating the grass though, is that okay??
Thanks :)

I would be careful with how much time you let him spend eating the grass. If he's not used to eating it, it could upset his stomach, so just ease him into it by starting with shorter periods of time out on the lawn, and perhaps try to encourage him to eat some hay straight away afterwards just to help keep the balance. I'm not sure if encouraging hay immediately afterwards helps, but it's something I've started doing whenever I introduce something new to Bandit, rather than him trying something new and maybe not eating hay for an hour and it upsetting his tummy more, I give him the new food, then hand feed a few strands of hay straight after.

That's great that you give your bun outside time! Mine absolutely loves to play outdoors and eat the delicious buffet of grass and clover. Because your bun is 2 months, limit his grass intake for now, but once he's around 5-6 months he can eat whatever grass he likes!
