Have any of your bunnies been mistaken for the Easter Bunny by kids?

-Carolyn

Yep! Because Samson is pretty much all white, people stop me on the streets when I'm walking him and ask me if I cangive them some Cadbury Cream Eggs... :?

I think people are nuts :p I was taught not to talk to or take candy from strangers :p

Oh yeah and let me tell you...it wasn't pretty.

It was such a nice day I packed Jeremy, Apollo ,Apollo'sstroller and headed to the park. Jeremy went to the playground to play.Apollo was relaxing in his stroller as we were walking around. A groupof children saw Apollo and came running up to see the big bunny.I lovethe way their little faces light up when they realize they can pethim.

After a while I was walking away with Apollo when alittle boy walked up to me.Asweet looking little guy about 5years old. The whole time he's walking up to me his eyes never leaveApollo. The little boy finally reaches us. He reaches his hand out topet Apollo and stops, looking at me. I tell him it's ok 'you can pethim he won't hurt you. He was petting Apollo for about fiveminutes.

He looks at me and says 'Lady how come you have the EasterBunny in a stroller?' I say he's not the Easter Bunny Hun he just lookslike him.Apollo is in the stroller because he really likes it. I shouldhave seen it coming but I didn't. The little boy asks 'Lady, how comeyou have the Easter Bunny on a leash?' I look at the boy and say 'He'snot the Easter Bunny Sweetie. He's my pet and his name is Apollo. I havehim on a leash so he doesn't get hurt.' No reaction but a dirty look soI say' cats and dogs might want to hurt Apollo and then I would be sosad.'

Before I can even blink this boy has reared back and kicked mein the shin HARD and yells at me to 'Let the Easter Bunny Go!'. At thispoint I'm looking for the child's mother to come help me. The littleguy looks at me and says' How can I get a Easter basket from the EasterBunny if you won't let him go.' Another kick and even louder he yells'Let the Easter Bunny go!'. It smarted pretty good and my eyes arewatering at this point.

Now the child is bound and determined to set Apollo aka theEaster Bunny free. He is trying to unhook his leash, trying to unhookApollo's harness and trying to lift Apollo out of thhe stroller. I amso grateful Apollo isas big as he is because the child was having ahard time trying to lift him. Know I am trying to get Apollo up in myarms and away from this child. All the while he is Screaming at me 'Letthe Easter Bunny Go!'.

Thankfully his mom showed up and led the little guy away. Ilimped my way over to the playground and fell into a seat. My poorlshins are scuffed and bruised and I can hear the little guy yelling asmom is getting him in the car.

Let the Easter Bunny Go Mean Lady. Let the Easter Bunny Go!

So this year I think I'll walk Apollo in the yard;)Save my legs
