I was going to get mineral oil, but figured that vegetable oil would be a lot safer. :?

Mineral oil is a safe home remedy for ear mites.

I've never had to use it on the buns, but I've used it for cats before.

I use baby oil to help cleanup poopie butt and clean scent glands. Baby oil is just mineral oil and fragrence.

So mineral oil is safe for digestion, just incase she happens to lick some off her ears? Where do I getmineral oil? I checked the local food co-op butdidn't find any.

I called the vet and they told me they want her to come in. So I'm taking her in this afternoon.

Vegetable oil can be used -- but it'smessy. Better to have the situation checked out by thevet. Ear wax buildup can indicate a problem.

The mineral oil won't hurt them if they lick it off. Mineraloil can be very dangerous to syringe feed a rabbit because they mayaspirate it into the lungs.

Let us know how everything goes!
