So I just inherited a bunny that I named Adeline. She is almost 4 months old and she is nearly double the size of her brother. That is a huge sign to me that they are a mix breed, but I'm trying to figure out a mix with what. Adeline's ears are very very long compared to her brothers. When Splinter lays down his ears don't even come close to the ground. Addie's ears are long enough to lay on the ground and curl up.

This is Splinter. He is 4 months old and very tiny. He is almost 2 pounds.

This is Adeline. She is Splinter's sister and is also almost 4 months old. She is closer to 4 pounds.

I'm pretty sure they are mixed with Holland lop because the father looked like one and Splinter is so tiny. But I'm not sure what the other half could be.

What could they be mixed with to causeAdeline to be so much bigger, have longer ears, yet still be completely lopped?

My first inclination would be a cross with a French Lop. They are (much) larger and have longer ears.

Orit could just be poor breeding (type wise) that throws larger size and longer ears.

Either way, they are both very cute!

Are you SURE they are related? like ..... could she have been a foster to a mama bunny or did the actual person tell you that they were brother and sister?

Nope they are brother and sister. There were 5 babies. And she was getting rid of the father. She thought that her rabbits were both girls, but surprise!

It was a mistake litter of babies.

I know. People probably think I'm crazy saying they are actually brother and sister. lol

Well, different bunny, different features! I think the one thing that is very similar in both is their kissable little lips! :hearts:
