Hi Varna!

Unfortunately ear and fur mite seem to be common for the bunnies.

I think that there is a treatment that you can use that will keep mites from coming back, once you can get rid of them.

I'm not sure about this, so I'm hoping some of the other members have some additional information.

a few drops of mineraloil will help keep ear mitesaway , not only does it smotherany of the little buggers whomissed treatment it makes fora slipery envronmentso the mites cant get a graspon anything and stick around

HiVarna,

Jim's right, fur and ear mites are common with rabbits. IfLucy has any blankets or things of that nature (material), you shouldtake it all out and run it through the washing machine on hot or warmwater.

Some people have used listerine to fight and prevent mites. Iknow a breeder that sprays her cage down with listerinedailyduring such episodes.

Although you have a medication for Lucy, an herbal remedy would beeither mineral oil, as gypsy pointed out, or oliveoil. A drop in each ear. The oil clogsthe pores of the mites and they suffocate. Olive oil rubbedon bald spots has been known to help some.

As a preventative measure, you could also give her rosemary, or put abit of rosemary oil in between her shoulder blades.
