ear measurements

I am wondering how you measure the ear length. I was trying to measure my lionheads and not sure if you measure from the base in the front or from behind. They gave different measurements when I did it both ways.

The ears should be strasight up- perpendicular to the head. Place the ruler between the ears on the base of the skull to measure. Be sure your ruler begins exactly at 0.

For English Lops, ears are stretched out to the side of the head and measured from the tip of one ear to the tip of the other ear.
