So, I know that vienna markings can look like dutch markings. I was wondering if the dutch breed was establish by selective breeding of rabbits with the vienna marking or did they establish themselves seperatly from others?

This is Vienna Marked:

Many people told me that Magic (Pictured above) looked like a Dutch, because of his colours and markings. He is part dutch, but he carries the Vienna Gene, because he has passed it on to his offspring. He in fact, isn't just black and white! He is black, white and BROWN! He has brown on his tummy, his chin, and in other places as well.

But yeah, Vienna Marked and Dutch are two seperate genes, but I think they can be combined...not sure.

Wow - Magic looks like a steel vienna.

Yes, since vienna and dutch belting are on different loci, a rabbit can inherit and express them in phenotype (appearance).

It may just be the photo - there looks like there's a patch of steeled tickingalong the side.

Do you have belly photos?
