Hi everyone!
I wasn't sure if I should put this in the infirmary or not.. But I've noticed my bunny has been drinking more water the past two days than she normally does? She's acting the same, playing and binkying around. She still is eating all her pellets and eating hay and veggies..

Just curious what other people thought,
thanks!

I'm not sure where you are specifically, but most of the Northeast US has been very hot lately. That makes my buns go through a lot more water even with the ac on. It's good that she's still eating and playing.

Is there any other sign she is in distress at all? Anything change?

I am right around where its been the hottest! She is in the a/c'd house so that's good to know she's probably drinking because of that!

No sign of distress at all, I put down some paper towels in the litterbox to see if her urine is diluted (I heard that'd be a sign).

Thanks for getting back to me Mini!

Hi Nancy, I had just read that if they increased their water consumption it could mean possible kidney/renal failure. She seems to be gulping down the water, but when I checked the paper towels, her urine was not diluted.
