Can someone please explain to me how to download pictures to my iPod. I hate that they don't give you the Instruction books anymore everything is on line (drives me nuts).

Also is there a way to download the album/CD covers so they show up on your iPods when they are playing.

Can you tell I wasn't brought up in the generation with all these gadgets.

Susan:)

Ok.... I'll try and describe it if I can remember correctly lol....

When you connect your iPod, in iTunes there is a menu that comes up with it. I think if you click on your iPod under 'devices' in the left-hand pane that should bring it up?

When the iPod is connected, along the top are tabs- music, movies, etc, and one for photos. Click on this, and select where you want to import the photos from. You can make a folder I believe and select that, so it uploads all the pictures in that folder. Or you can just link it to your whole pictures folder, so it uploads everything. Be warned, if you select everything and you have a lot of pictures, it takes a long time!! I have 13000 pics and it took about 8 hours lol

Then if you have your iPod set to auto-sync when you connect it, it will always just update your photos with any that have been added to the folder you chose since you last synced.

Does that make sense? Sorry if it doesn't!

As for album covers, if you go to any CD-selling site, e.g Amazon, find a picture of the album cover you want, right click and select 'copy image' and then over the empty album cover image in iTunes, right click and select 'Get Info', then click the 'Artwork' tab, click in the empty box, and hit 'Ctrl' and 'V' at the same time, and voila! The artwork should appear! That should save it for every song....

I hope that makes sense! Feel free to quiz me more if it doesn't! :)

You explained that very well. Thank you very much. You should get a job where you rewrite Instructions for "Bozos" like me who can't understand the manufactures' instructions.

Woohoo! Glad I could be of service! :D

I did actually have to get my iPod and sync it in the end to remind myself of the step-by-step things..... But it needed syncing anyway! ;)
