So today some family members came over to my home, unfortunately they didn't tell me they were going to bring their dog. I wasn't in the room at the time that they came in so I didn't fully see the accident but as soon as the dog saw my bunny, the dog starting to chase my bunny (my bunny is free roaming). Once I came out I broke up the chasing and saw that my bunny was missing fur on the top part of her nose(shown in picture). Pissed off I told my family to leave and take the dog home (of course they just hurt my bunny). Shes fine now (acting normal that I can tell) but I wanted to know will this fur ever grow back and why is it missing? The dog never bit her in the face or anything that I was told, the dog just chased her. Will she be okay?

That's scary! Maybe it got snagged on something when she was running, or maybe the dog did get ahold of the fur and yanked it out. As long as there isn't a wound, it should be fine and grow back fine. But do check your bun over carefully. Puncture marks from a dogs teeth, may not be immediately noticeable or apparent. And an unnoticed wound could become infected.

I'm glad your bun is ok and nothing worse happened. I've had a rabbit killed years ago, by someone's dog when I wasn't around to know what was going on or there to stop it, so I know how horrible it is. Definitely have another firm talk with your family and set some clear boundaries with them on what's allowed.
