I walk in the feed store today and Justin says to me, "Have you bought your Christmas cards yet?"

I smile (because I never send out cards....I'm too disorganized - but I don't want to say that) and simply say "no".

So he says his wife set aside something to show me and I'm thinking to myself, "I'm not going to pay high prices for overpriced cards...not at all.."

Then he hands me the package..

It's the "Leanin Tree Woodland Critters" assortment - 20 cards (2 of each design).

And yeah...I bought them...

Now to figure out who to send them to - most folks would fall over getting a card from me since I never send cards!

Edited to add: I am going to keep a few and frame them - and I am thinking about scanning them and putting them here so you can see them better - but Art is concerned about copyright...and I understand where he's coming from.

I'm googling the artists to see if I can show some of the pictures:

This one is not in the package but it is by the same artist who did the two bunnies in the log:

It is called "Guided by the Light"

Kathy Goff is another one of the artists I like from this - here is a link to some of her work available:

That one is a puzzle..

Anyway - I may find a way to scan them and upload them to Photobucket but put a mark on them to give the credit to leanin tree...

They are just the designs charted out on graph paper. Each color has a different symbol on the chart. You have to buy the fabric and floss seperately. The HAED designs take about 8 months to a year to do if you stitch maybe 2 hours every day.

I wouldn't recommend them for a beginner.

What is it about you - always tempting me? I'm still on "Prince" on mine...(Ok...so I put the project away so the rabbits wouldn't chew on it - and now I can't find it...not that I've looked hard...).

I love this one...I may have to break down and do it one of these years..

:devil:wiggle Oh you know you love the temptation!Your cards are wonderful and I then I rememberedthe artist'sname from the online XS shops. The Santa holding the ornament has been a really popular design for some stitchers to buy.

Finish your current project first so you will have a sense of accomplishment. Then reward yourself and your hard work with another design.

How's that?

Ah....but Art already knows about my Ebay purchase of the old Creative Circle kits.

I've been SOOOO good at not opening them yet either.

I think I'll get back to work on my project this weekend - I've just been too busy holding Wedge when I watch tv OR being on the forum.

Edited to add: We never "did" the Santa thing....so I'm not really into Santa stuff. Long story about that...but anyway...I think I'll pass on the Santa designs.
