My hubby and I don't have kids. So mysis and I torture her kidson St. Paddy's Dayinstead. Our family is Irish on my mom's side, so we havealways had "something" done to us as kids.
So when my sis had her kids we decided to continue the traditioninvolving Leprechauns. When the kids wake up in the morningthey find their clothes all disarranged/inside out. The milkis green along with the yogurt, toilet water, pudding,eggs...etc... If we know they left something somewhere wewill hide it or tape it to the wall or ceiling! You canalways count on a call fom my neice (6 years old)first thingin the morning on St. Paddy's Day to complain about the Leprechauns inthe house! I think maybe Kenzie thinks she is cursed havingIrish family! ( we told her it was because they followed usfrom Ireland but they can only cause mischief onenight ayear!) So it has become a contest of wills! Sheboobytraps things to keep them out and my sis and I hunt them all downand add food colouring wherever we can! Last year I gave hera white shirt the day before, repossessed it that night dyed it andreturned it for the morning! This year Kenziegot her mom to cook all their dinner and then seal it all up so theLeprechauns can't get it! Poor sis has to be awake at 4 forwork(she is working 2 double shifts!)...and has to dye everythingbefore she goes! Of course the Leprechauns "accidently"drop a bit of chocolate gold as they sneak through the house atnight! So all in all it is a pretty good trade off!
