Well first things first, Cheerio, our broken black Nethie doe had 5 beautiful kits :) But I popped the top of her cage off and set it on the floor and put her in it while I was checking them a few minutes ago, anyways there was a blood spot on the floor, just a little one and some on her tail. She had them this morning which was 4-5 hours ago. Could she be having more? :?

Always a possibility. Did you palpate her to make sure they are all out? Could also be that she has not passed the placenta yet. Just keep an eye on her.

Do you have any raspberry growing near you? Raspberry cane or leaves is excellent for tightening up the uterus and helping with afterbirth bleeding.

But as Sharon said, keep an eye on her and she should stop spotting. As long as it isn't a lot of blood, it's probably OK.

And Congrats on the new babies!!!!!!

Thank you! I woke up this morning and checked on her, she is fine! The babies are also doing great so far ;) Also we don't have any rasberry leaves near us, my dad does, so maybe I will sneak a few canes home to plant for future use :p

Here are some pics Polly & Grace :)I have 2 pics that I will post :p Sorry they aren't the greatest I personally like the first baby, very excited on how he/she will turn out! I will have to get more pics when they are starting to get fuzzy! I hope the Sable Marten is show quality! That is true enough OakRidgeRabbits :)

hmmm I dont kow if its the light in the picture but the first pic looks like a broken chinchila what colour was the father? and have you got pics now? I can usually tell a chin from about dya 2 or 3 if not when they are born because they never have such a solid black colour to the skin as a black does.

I do know something tho they are gonna be heart breakers :D

Mom is a broken black, her dad was a himilayan marked Nethie & her mom is broken black.

The dad is a sable marten and his dad was a REW & his mom was a Siamese smoke pearl :)

I don't think there was any chin's in the pedigree, but that doesn't mean anything lol
