Congrats! I havea REW MiniRexdoe due the same day! I'm hoping she took... :) She doesn't really look pregnant, but I'm hoping she is! We took her to the buck soo many times, and he's proven.

She did investigate her nestbox, and pulled ALL the hay out of her hay rack, which is unusual for her. :)

Congrats to you also I have a question for you the breeder I got the rew doe and buck from told me not to breed her to another rew but the rew buck I have has nothing but white in it so I don't understandwhy she would tell me that for plus the little doe is out of some of my old stock from 10 or so years ago..........Toby

It must be the day for REWs! lol.

And as for your question... I honestly have no idea why the breeder said that. I've been told it's best to breed REW to REW, in order to prevent white toenails, scattered white hairs, etc. But many breeders do breed REWs to other colours (preferably what the REWs themselves mask) and have no problems.

You can breed it to whatever you want. lol. Do you have luck finding homes for your REW Mini Rex? I find it's tought for them on the pet market. :/

Some does wont breed to other bucks. my grandmother had this problem with some of their does. sometimes they just choose a buck and thats that. so that may be the reason the breeder said that.

Congrats on the upcoming litters. I have 8 does due the same day.

I have one REW buck in the barn and I use him for brokens. He is a broken black under the white sheet. I don't breed for REWs but know many breeders that do and they breed REW to REW and get all REW.

Well at least you know that they will be all REW. You should test breed him to a self doe to see what he really is under that white sheet.

Well there is this one feed store here that buys rabbits all the time from people and sells them to other people for pets and she gives a pretty good price for them and I have it set up with her to buy all my pet quality rabbits from me.........Toby

palpated my preg does yesterday and did another round of breeding they all took :)

Mine are starting too. I had 7 does kindle this past weekend for a today of 24 viable kits.

It was probably the heat. It had started cooling off here by the end of Sept and I used younger bucks.
