Yest I had to take Roscoe and Suzi to vet for a check up. Because I just adopted them and I wanted to make sure they were healthy. :)And they are :biggrin2:

Anyway.... Until last night they were using the litter boxes really good for 3-4 days. Then all the sudden they poo'ed everyhere last night. And Roscoe pee'd out of the litter box just now.

I'm thinking they maybe mad at me for taking them out of the house yest. Suzi did not want to get into the carrier. Roscoe did NOT like the check-up. What do you think???

Thanks.....April

They are probably not mad at you, but probably very unsettled at all the changes that are happening in their lives and how unsettled they feel. I would give them space to settle for a couple of days. Hopefully their litter habits hsould improve (unless of course they are just heading into adolescence, which, as you know, is a whole different issue).

Their also back laying in their litter boxes too. Poor babies. I didn't mean too make them feel unsettled. They had just quit laying in their boxes too. I just looked in the room and their in the litter box together. Poor babies.

I feel bad now but they needed a check-up.

They will lie in their litter boxes because that is their territory and that is where they feel safest, but if you give them some space and time to settle they should come back round quite quickly.

April,

It just sounds to me like they are unhappy because they had just got settled in and then they were disrupted.

You had to do what you did and they will settle back in, you'll see. Those two rabbits are resilient and they will be fine. You just wait and see!

In two weeks I have to take Roscoe back for a re-check. Should I take Suzi too? I Feel bad cause their gonna feel unsettled then too. Poor babies.

When I was putting them in the carrier I was wondering how it was gonna affect them. Cause they didn't want to get in the carrier. I was hoping they weren't thinking they were leaving my home. Thanks, Laura

See how they are then. It would probably be less stressful, ironically, to take them both together, but wait and see how she in particular is acting.

I don't know this pair, are they both spayed and neutered?

Yes, they are spayed and neutered.

Taking both isn't a problem. I just didn't know if taking Suzi would stress her more. (Taking her out of the house again.) Or if seperating them would be worse. If I leave Suzi home they could be seperated up to 1 1/2 - 2 hours. My vet is 30 minutes away.

Thanks Tracy :)

I would assess how she is nearer the time. I take all my buns with their bonded friends with the exception of Roger and Tilly because Roger won't/can't tolerate it at all. So see how she is. If she settles quickly after this or is settled when you need to go back then there is no reason to not take her. Just see how it goes and decide the day of, or the day before.

If you separate them there is the risk of needing to rebond (some buns bonds fall apart very quickly) so be prepared for that too.
