This is my first post....Hey. I have a question.Do mother rabbits lose their scent when they have young babies in thenest. A hunter friend of mine says that they, as well as the babies, have no scent (at least wild rabbits). They say that their dogs cannottrack a mother rabbit and have never found a nest of babies. Do any ofyou know if this is fact or fiction? My semi-tame "wild" rabbits seemto have scent. Also, what is the largest litter "medium size rabbits"that you have had. I currently have one with 9. Thanks in advance.

The way I understood it was...... that the motherwould stay away from the babies so her scent would not attractpredators to the babies. The mother would only return to the babies tonurse them.
