Hey guys,

Well as some of you might know, Princess is my heart bunny, I love her so much and she is so affectionate. It would totally rock of I could keep her indoors in my bedroom. Now, I was trying to think of places to put her if I do. I don't have too much room in my bedroom, because I have another bed in there that my sister sleeps in at the weekends and my guinea pigs.

So I was thinking of putting her cage in my walk in wardrobe, it has no windows but I never really close the door anyway. I'm also going to bring in Ebony if she get's on with her, but she has been chasing her a little lately so in a smaller space she might not tolerate her at all.

So, questions...

Do females spray a lot and have a strong odour, like males? Since they are outdoors I find it hard to tell. She isn't spayed (yet).

It is much less common for females to spray, but it definitely happens. I had a girl who sprayed and once she was spayed it stopped. The urine can certainly smell bad with any bunny, and for that I recommend Feline Pine litter or another wood pellet litter (rather than shavings or paper-based).

That would be wonderful to have your bunny inside with you. I'm sure you'll figure out the space for her my bedroom is small and I managed to fit a large pen for Bentley it's an inconvenience to get to my closets but hey they're my kids.

Ya I really want her in, if it were up to me she would definitely live inside, but my sister comes from college and complains over the slightest odour. Like she complains even after I clean the guinea pigs, and over the smell of their food, bedding, hay. So I'm not sure if she will make me put her back out if I do get to bring her in.

my female isnt fixed (yet) and free roams and doesnt spray, very good about the litter box too!

females, imo, dont smell nearly as bad as males do.

your sister is a lot like mine, mine got over it when fallow jumped in bed with her and now shes claimed hima s hers -.- but tell your sister she can sleep somewhere else if it bothers her

Haha, I wish my sister would like animals like me, she is like my aunts, they think my buns are ugly and disease ridden haha!

Hopefully I can take her inside in the Spring, when she sheds that thick Winter coat and temps inside and outside and a bit more balanced.

o she hates them secretly i think...she likes bein able to cuddle fallow though hell just lay down and let her pet him forever. she likes tellin all her friends how huge and nice he is too lol

how do your parents feel about bringing her in?

Well I was pretty sure they wouldn't allow me to, because I used to have Thumper and Alfie (RIP) in the house and they sprayed soooo bad that we had to scrub the walls everyday, but when I asked my Dad was really cool about it :)

Just my sister! I wish she would get back with her BF and live there again haha! So I could take out her bed, my room is actually quite big, except I have to keep so much of her stuff in there.

i would never let my sister live in my room...if i were you id start sleepin naked lol

lol
you could start leaving food and dirty clothes everywhere....kinda gross sounding but eh...whatever works to get her out!!

I have my rabbit inside and if I clean the litterbox regularly enough she doesn't smell at all. I think having her spayed would help though. I noticed that it really helps when I keep the hay and food bags in a different room. I noticed they often smell stronger than the rabbit, even if its not really a "bad" smell.

The other night, when I had my rabbits staying inside my brother came in and said "the smell of them rabbits is horrible" -but I smelt nothing!! The rabbits were in the cage top(like the bars/wire bit) and only had a few poops!! (I didnt have their food bowl in because it was like 1am when I took them in and they had already been fed lol!)

I guess some people think rabbits smell ALOT - as my cousin claims she can smell them when they are in the same room as her!!
