I was just sitting in the living room and Bob was out and about. All of a sudden I heard these sqeaky noises that sounded like little sneezes. THere were about 4 or 5 of them. It scared me that I jumped up and went over to him. He was in his hay cube, sitting there like normal. I checked outside and there weren't any things that would cause a feeling of threat. It freaked me out alittle. I ve had him almost 2 years and never heard that. Zeus has never done that either.

Any ideas? Thanks

Yes, bunnies can sneeze. It could be nothing but sneezes, but be sure to make sure he doesn't do it much anymore or it could be something a bit more serious than just a sneeze. But they do sound like sneezes, not like squeaks, or atleast my rabbits don't sound like squeaks.

Oh yes! It is scary! Snuff sneezes alot when grooming, like he getsa hair in his nose. Sometimes he'll sneeze up to 10 times, then I get scared of course. I run over.to him to make him stop sneezing because I get so scared.

But, yeah, unless their having abnormal discharge or a very runny nose, it's okay.;) Could be allergies, hair in their nose or hay.

Best thing to do, is do what I'm doing and keep an eye on it. If it gets worse or changes to color (anything white, yellow or green color), get him tested for Pasturella, asap.

Otherwise, to reiturate, it might just be hair in their nose to cause sneezing and is nothing. Best to just keep an eye on it and go from there. Ask here if you're curious or worried.:)

Also, make sure no fine dustings are in the hay or pellets that will add to any possible allergies he may be experiencing.
