Do breeders deworm all rabbits ...just in case

A member inNutrition and behavioris asking if rabbits need to be dewormed. I never dewormed a pet rabbit unless there was an indication that he had worms (Rudy had a tapeworm)

Do breeders routinely treat all rabbits for worms and if so what do you use??

We do the same. We deworm all of them if 1 has worms.

I deworm my rabbits twice a year. Spring and fall. I show alot and they can be picked up at a show.

I use Piperazine. It kills pin worms which are the most common in rabbits. Ivermectin domes not kill pinworms.
