Ok so while at the bahn with the girls me and EJ flipped and I got slammed into a wall I did not it was dislocated tell about three hours later when I tried to pick up the box our stuff was in.

I just thought I was very sore. I have a very high pain tolerance so I went to call my nurse friend and she popped it back lucky it went in easy. I am using my nieces arm brace and work let me go home early today so I did not get in trouble but was off. So i am in some pain not much more like a pulled mussel.

Taking tylenol nothing else so is there anything anyone can suggest to help it set faster. To be honest my nurse friend was like it will take three weeks.

I would just like some advice. I can't be in a braise three weeks. so a way to hold my arm any advice.

A sling would work.
Poor you :(

Don't try to rush through recovery, though, Kat. My father dislocated his shoulder, didn't allow it sufficient time to heal, and is still tending to it 10 years later.
It is better to be in a brace for 3 weeks than to have long-term issues as a result of a busy schedule ;).

ice and heat will help. 15 minutes on and then fifteen minutes off which will give one of each during an hours time, an anti-inflamatory, and most important, minimal use plus continue the sling for support. If it still bothers you in a couple of days you may want to go to the doctor. Mine took surgery to correct the damage.

Well Its not hurting anymore maybe a muscle spasm everyone in a while. I am having to us it at work but only handing money to people no heavy lifting.

Yeah, icing it will dull pain and inflammation. I suggest ibuprofen, like Motrin, or some Advil (naproxen) because in addition to pain killer these drugs act as an anti inflammatory aid. You want to reduce swelling in the arm. Tylenol just dulls pain, doesn't do anything else.

Advil is Ibuprofen, Naproxen is sold under the name Aleve. Naproxen is stronger and some people have have more stomach problems from it. So just be aware if you are taking it regularly.

Glad your feeling better :)

I semi disloacted my shoulder a few months ago (playing my Wii) it wasn't in the socket, nor was it out.. sort of on the 'edge' of going either way. So, any wrong movement could've pushed it out.

Just let it be relaxed. Don't strain it, use lots of ice.. Tylenol is a friend (reduces swelling, too)
