If you are concerned with capturing those quickbunny movements I would also recommend checking the shutter time. Thefaster the shutter response the faster it snaps the picture after youpress the button. Also if the camera does not allow you to clip framesfrom video you can always edit them on your computer. Any video capturesoftware will allow you to take still pics from the video.

I have a Casio Exilm that was a bit expensive but is a wonderfulcamera. I keep it in my purse at all times! We also have a KyoceraFinecam that was a lower end camera but has very fast response times aswell as the continuous shooting and stabilization. I actually findmyself using it more than my Exilm now a days. I prefer a camera with arechargeable battery, from experience the Cannons that use AA batterieshave a very short battery life. I had an older model Powershot that Iended up giving to my parents. All around it was a good camera, but Iwas constantly changing the batteries and had to purchase a pricey ACadapter to be able to plug it in so not to use the batteries duringimage transfers, I'm sure they have made some improvements since then.

I don't know if you have a Radio Shack in your area but they have agreat selection of cameras and allow you to "play" with them in thestore and check out the features. You can almost always find a betterprice elsewhere but its a great place to go to get a feel for thedifferent models.

Nice. Technology certainly has improved picture taking.

There are some nice features. Imagestabilization would only helpwith hand shake or low light situationsbut it won'tfreezemoving objects. To capture arunning bunny, you would need afaster shutter speed. And itseems like you can setit with the A570 IS in theShutter Priority AE mode. I'm not sure aboutthe shutter lag though. With most Pointand Shoot Cameras, you don't get theexact shutter release tocapture that instant moment.

There are no reviews out yetas the camera isn't availableuntil April/2007.

Right now I have a Sony Cybershot....4.1 mega pixels...and it sucks! Ihate it! I am going to donate it to a shelter or something that needsit to take pictures of their animals when I get a new one!

Hey what you picked is a good camera.I'm a huge fan of Canon's. :) Anyways, If you want some greatpics with very easy usage then this is a pretty good camera. To reduce blur even more with that camera put it on the fast shuttermode. It works really well. I'd like to get a CanonDigital Rebel XTI! Someday!

That is excellent advice. My nikon has a roughly 1.5 second shutterdelay. Not good for motion pictures (like binkies & yawns).Hence, I'm currently shopping for a DSLR, so if any of you know of arelatively inexpensive, good, reliable model, I'd really appreciateinput.

The Kyocera's have a shutter speed of 3.3 framesper second. It really seems to capture the exact moment. I have theFinecam SL400R. They have what they call "R-tune" technology.

Pet Bunny...how much did you pay for your cameraand how much did that lense cost? The picture quality is AMAZING. Iwant a nice camera anyway, since I am probably going to start takingsome digital photography classes at the college this summer for fun!

You don't need an expensive camerato takegood pictures. I'll PM you thecost.

D200 with 70-200 f2.8 VR Zoom.It is 10.2 Megapixels, and canshoot at 5.1 Frames per Second.Start up takes150 ms, and theshutter release lag at 50 ms. A millisecond (ms) isa thousandth of a second. That isasfastas a blink of an eye.

These pictures were taken at a Bird and Rabbit Show (Feb/2007).

Pet Bunny, the FPS on the SD800 is 1.7 - is that decent?
Depending onwhat you want to shoot.
It is faster than you trying to press the the shutter release manually.
For action shots, I would use the movie/video mode.

Shooting is all about anticipation, regardless ofthe camera. Some people can getthe picture with one shot.

At 5 FPS, in a burst of 4seconds, you can get 20pictures. This might be OK for somethinglikea set ofgymnastics pictures.
Professional cameras go8 FPSand up to 13 FPS. Thiswill give you a tennis swing or a golf swing.

Rainbows! :)
